barely enough heat to cook a steak, thermometer quit working ,called warranty dept and was informed the replacement would cost me over $15.00 shipping and handling, I refused, what a rip off outfit!

bought the Vida by PADERNO Essence Series 2‑Burner BBQ expecting at least 500°F performance based on its 26,000 BTU spec. However, it flatlines at 350–400°F even after 15+ minutes at full power (#10), cover closed.

Support at Canadian Tire told me that’s “by design”—the max temperature for this model. Seriously? A propane grill that struggles to hit 400°F! That shouldn’t be acceptable for anything more than reheating buns or grilling veggies.

Many users confirm the same issue, noting drafts through vents and poor heat retention that restrict temperature. One user on Paderno’s site said, “it will not go over 350 degrees,” and others shared hacks like blocking vent holes to push heat close to 500°F  .

If you’re intending to sear steaks, cook pizza, or anything requiring serious heat, this setup fails miserably. Even 3rd‑party small Weber or Napoleon models outperform it in heating power.

Bottom line: nice aesthetics, but don’t expect this brand’s 2‑burner model to deliver real BBQ heat. Better to choose a 3‑ or 4‑burner grill from a reputable brand if you want results—not just look.

I have a two burner enough for 2-4 people, great that it's mostly stainless steel and was very easy to assemble. But it will not go over 350 degrees. Many other reviews talk about this problem. I took the advice of one review (ShawnYEG) and blocked the two side vent holes and 3 of the 4 loovered holes in the back. I was able to get heat up to almost 500 degrees by doing this. I would not recommend this BBq based on the low heat problem.

Purchased this bbq as a retirement gift, love the cooking this bbq does to-date, also purchased the rotisserie kit, and cover and utensils.
The cooking so far have been great, tempature control works as advertised, the one issue I have is with the rotisserie attached to the bbq , I am unable to use the side self with rotisserie attached, this is poor design and can only use the right self the cover seems to be durable and is holding up well.
I have cooked hotdogs, hamburgers, steak, pork chops, smokies, roasts and whole chickens as well the cooks has turned out awesome.
I would recommend this product however beware of design flaw with rotisserie atted you are unable to use the left side shelf.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago in-store on sale, and just used it for the first time this evening. So happy with it, I'd've bought it at full price!
Firstly, it was pretty easy to assemble; instructions recommend two people, and it is probably a whole lot more comfortable for the average person to need a hand positioning the top piece. No missing parts and everything went together as per the instructions.
It warmed up super fast! I didn't time it, but after igniting it and then going to prep condiments and buns, it was up to heat. Cooked the burgers and hot dogs nicely with no dramas.
The coated grill was easy to wipe clean, but I think I'm going to get a wooden "brush" to clean it with.
