If only the lids would stay closed!

Once I put the container in the fridge the lid pops open after a couple of hours. I've tried various things to make the lids stay on: burping to make a vacuum seal, warming the lids to soften the sealing ring, chilling the lids to harden the sealing ring, leaving the vent tab open, etc., all to no avail.
