A wonderful cutting board

Having read the negative comments about this cutting board, I wondered if these people actually did the prep work needed before it's used the 1st time. Did you clean it then season it first? That is a necessary step as soon as you remove the plastic wrapping. Otherwise your board will weaken and crack quickly! Look up bamboo cutting boards! It requires regular maintenance after using it but before that very 1st use, you have to prep it! Clean, oil, check and oil again if necessary. When water beads on it, you're ready to go. You may need to do this several times (never cooking oil only mineral oil). Seems like a lot but if you do this, your board is now water resistant and good to go. Bamboo is one of the best products to buy. But it won't stand up if you don't prep it and maintain it. If you do this, it will last you years. If you have done this and there is still a problem, then you have a defective product and should return it. There is a 5 year warranty on this board so if you do the prep work, you should be fine. If not, then simply return it! Pretty basic really. Either way you win so why complain? It's a wonderful cutting board! I take care of it and I love it! Best wishes to all! 😄

Terrible build quality with cracks showing

Terrible product - I will think twice before trusting the Paderno brand again. I'm noticing a consistent drop in quality overall on numerous products of this brand.

After just 6 weeks of light usage, the wood is splitting and cracking.

I don't have the receipt anymore, so I'm out of luck as it seems.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT BUT THE QUALITY IS “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR”

I used this cutting board literally ONCE — hand washed, and set to dry aside.

I woke up to split bamboo on three of the ply’s used for the side with the juice well.

I’ve now got a split bamboo cutting board that will more easily trap particulates and, as a result, hasten the degradation of the surfaces.

If you need a sizeable bamboo cutting board, go ahead and buy this one. But don’t expect it to stand up to normal use for longer than the warranty period — or in my case longer than one use!
