I've been looking for an electric bbq for a while now to replace my old one which is close to 25 years old. After doing lots of research and looking at the reviews, I chose the Vida by Paderno. It had great reviews. It was also on sale. Some of the electric bbq's out there are very expensive or very cheap. This one looked like good quality for a medium price. I got it and it took me alone to put it together in about an hour. The instructions were pretty easy to follow. Make sure that you read the instructions so you don't miss anything. I used it last night for the first time and I was pleased with the results. It did take about 25 min. to heat up to the hottest temperature. But most bbq's can take a while to heat up. This was on a hot day with no wind. I made ribs. There was a nice sear on them. Got the black lines. They cooked quickly and I was happy with the results. I left it turned on for about 10 min. to try and burn off the food that was left on the grill. Cleaning was a bit difficult. I took the grill off and into the kitchen sink to scrape off burnt on food. It's hard to do when they tell you not to soak it, don't use a bbq brush on it, don't use anything abrasive. So I'm not sure how to get the burnt build up off.
So far I like the way it cooks, I like the look of it, the stand and the side shelf are handy. Easy to use and set up, heats up to a good temperature. cooks evenly.
Negatives: cleaning the grill and the inside is difficult. The grill is very heavy and hard to get out. The stainless steal top leaves finger prints that I can't seem to get off.
Good product. I would recommend it.
